The Nanyang Research Programme (NRP) is an NTU outreach programme for Year 5 students from the IP (Integrated Programme) Schools and first year Junior College students. Participants in the programme will undertake eight months of research activities, either individually or in a pair, under the charge of an NTU faculty member. This programme will culminate in the submission of a Research Paper and a Poster Presentation carried out during the NRP Symposium, held in April annually.
NRP offers a variety of research topics from NTU’s four Colleges – College of Engineering, College of Science, College of Humanities, Arts, & Social Sciences, and College of Business – as well as the National Institute of Education.

NRP project titles will be disseminated to our partner IP Schools and JCs through the respective NRP Teacher Co-ordinators. Schools will either nominate applicants or open applications to students. Upon the submission of student project choices, applications will be handed to the respective project supervisors who might call the student applicants up for an interview before final selection is confirmed. Only applicants who have been endorsed and recommended by their schools will be invited to join the programme.
All NRP student participants will then have to attend a series of Training Seminars, the objective being to provide students with the necessary background and techniques to conduct research effectively and safely, before embarking on their research work proper.
Offering NRP as H3 Science Research
|The next run of NRP will be in 2018. Applications for NRP 2018 will open around February 2018 through the respective schools' NRP Teacher Coordinators.|
