Special Term Fees

Students who attend the optional Special Term classes have to pay fees which are charged on a per-course basis.

   1. For students who first accepted a place in and after AY2012-13, please click here for the special term
       fee applicable to you.

   2. For students who first accepted a place in AY2011-12, the special term fees for each course
       (regardless of AU) are fixed at the following rates for the duration of their degree programme:

  • All amounts quoted are exclusive of GST.
  • For students eligible for MOE Tuition Grant, GST on the fees is subsidised by MOE.
  • For students paying non-subsidised fees or no longer eligible for MOE Tuition Grant, GST on the fees is to be borne by the student. 

 

   3. For students who first accepted a place in and before AY2010-11, the special term fees are fixed
       at the following rates for the remaining duration of their degree programme:

Fees will not be charged for compulsory core courses/projects and minor courses that are conducted only during the Special Terms. The list of courses that are excluded from charging of Special Term fees are:

  • Minor in Entrepreneurship courses (ET9101 – ET9105)
  • Undergraduate Research Opportunity Programme (UROP)/Undergraduate Research Experience on Campus (URECA)
  • Industrial Orientation/Internship and Professional Attachment
