Academic Unit (AU) Requirement

An academic unit (AU) is a measure of student's work load associated with both class attendance and preparation.

In general, a higher degree course is worth 3 AU. One AU is equivalent to 13 teaching hours.

Maximum Number of AU/Courses Allowed To Register Per Term

In general, full-time students are allowed to register up to 15 AU (5 courses) per term of study, while part-time students can register up to 9 AU (3 courses) per term of study.
