Social Visit Pass Application for Spouses/Children of Full Time NTU Graduate Students

For Application of Entry Visa

Spouse and/or child(ren) of full-time NTU graduate students(for nationals of visa required countries) have to apply for an entry visa if they wish to come to Singapore. They can apply their entry visa at one of Singapore’s Embassies or Consulates.  The International Student Centre (ISC) can assist students of NTU in the extension of the Social Visit Pass for their spouse and/or child(ren) only upon arrival in Singapore.

Application for Extension of Social Visit Pass

Applicants from countries which do not require an entry visa or who have applied for Social Visit Passes in their country of origin may simply approach ISC for assistance with the extension of their social visit pass after arrival. For extension, you have to fill up Form 14 and Form V39I.  The forms can be obtained from the ISC.

The following documents have to be submitted to the ISC, together with the necessary application forms:

  • Form 14 and Form V39I (These forms can be obtained from ISC)
  • Passport
  • 2 photos of spouse/children
  • Original copy of birth certificate (for child)
  • Original copy of marriage certificate (for spouse)
  • Student's Pass and Disembarkation/Embarkation Cards
  • Official translations of the documents are required if they are not in English Language

Applicants will also have to fill in a Sponsorship Form at the ISC. You are required to bring a friend to ISC to witness and sign on the sponsorship form, when ISC informs you to collect the support letter.

Graduate students who are on NTU research scholarships and who wish to bring their children must furnish ISC with a letter from their supervisor/School to endorse that the arrival of their children will not affect their research activities. Support will not be given without this endorsement. This requirement will not apply to Coursework students as they are self-funding.

With the support letter from the ISC, you may submit your application for the Social Visit Pass extension at the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA).  Please note that for the extension of social visit pass, your spouse/children will have to go to the ICA personally.

The period of extension is decided by the ICA.  If it is more than 6 months, ICA will request your spouse/children to submit a medical report.
