Students are required to ensure that they remain in Singapore on a valid pass at all times.
Overstaying is a punishable offence under the Immigration Act.
International Students Centre (ISC) assists graduate and exchange/non-graduating students in the renewal of their Student's Pass, when necessary.
Students are advised to extend their Student's Pass one month before the date of expiry. Please liaise with the Graduate Studies Office (for graduate students), the Office of Academic Services (for exchange students) or the school/department in charge of your registration matters to obtain a Letter of Offer for the extension of your course. This is required before ISC provides you the information to submit the extension of your Student's Pass application electronically.
Student Affairs Office (SAO) assists undergraduate students in the renewal of their Student's Pass, when necessary.
Students are advised to extend their Student's Pass one month before the date of expiry of the existing Student's Pass; or in some cases, immediately after the release of the examination results.
When your Student's Pass needs to be extended, please take note of the following:
1) Please send your request for extension of Student's Pass by an email to SAO, Ms Jennifer Yeo (yylee@ntu.edu.sg) with information on your name as appeared in your passport, the date of expiry of your passport and matriculation card number.
2) Please request for an advice on extension of studies for Student's Pass renewal from Office of Academic Services - Click here or email Undergraduate@ntu.edu.sg
Upon completion of the process of your case by the SAO, an email will be sent to you with instruction and registration particulars for you to submit electronically of your application for renewal of the Student's pass. Please ensure your NTU email box is not full in order not to miss out any mails.
Please take note of the expiry date of your Student's Pass and must, before it’s expiry date, surrendered it to the Student's Pass Section, Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) at Level 4, ICA Building, 10 Kallang Road (next to Lavender MRT Station).
Students who surrender their Student's Passes will be granted a short stay in Singapore on cancellation of their Student's Passes.
