HIRE OF LOCKER COMPARTMENTS (2011/2012)

Ballot stage

The ballot stage (by computer balloting) has been concluded.   The lists of balloted hirers, who applied online between 8 Aug 2011 (0830hrs) and 12 Aug 2011 (1745hrs) inclusive, are listed at the following locations:

  • Public Folder: Notice Board (Students) - please read the posting dated 15 Aug 11
  • Physical notice boards: At OCBC branch, for North Spine results; at concourse leading to Canteen B, for South Spine results. (Results to be displayed until 30 Sep 11.)

Balloted hirers may proceed to use their respective locker compartments with their own padlock once they are unlocked.   All hirers are advised to keep their respective compartments locked at all times, regardless of whether they are actively using them or otherwise.

If a balloted hirer finds that the locker compartment he or she has been allocated with is still locked, he or she should drop an email to Mr. Moses Lim at moses@ntu.edu.sg immediately.   The hirer concerned should not in the meantime use any other compartment without the consent of Student Affairs Office.

The University is arranging the one-off GIRO deduction of the hire fee of S$10.70 (inclusive of GST) each.   The GIRO deduction date will be announced in due course at the Public Folders at Notice Board (Students).   Those whose GIRO deductions have failed will be notified subsequently to pay by cashcard or NETS (or cash).

All hirers are bound by the rules on the use of locker compartments.   A link to these rules was posted at this site for would-be hirers in the ballot stage.   This link is reproduced below, under the heading "Post-ballot stage".

Post-ballot stage

There are locker compartments still available for hire at the North Spine and the South Spine.   Students, including part-time undergraduates and graduate students, who are NOT already locker-compartment hirers with Student Affairs Office are welcome to apply.

Interested applicants who are eligible may bring along their Matriculation Card, together with a Cashcard or ATM Card with sufficient value (S$10.70), and apply for the hire in person at Student Affairs Office (Level 6, Student Services Centre).   Please come before 1630hrs from Mon to Thu or before 1615hrs on Fri.   An applicant may choose a general location (North Spine or South Spine) but not a specific location or a specific locker compartment.

The rules on the use of the locker compartments are attached Lockers - Rules 2011-2012.pdf.   These rules incorporate the terms and conditions of hire.   Please read these rules before you apply, for all applicants are deemed to have agreed to comply fully with them.

Please allow up to three consecutive working days from the date of application and payment for the allocated locker compartment to be unlocked for use.   Once unlocked, the locker compartment may be used immediately by the hirer immediately using his or her own padlock.   If the hirer finds the allocated locker compartment to be still locked after the aforesaid three-day period, he or she should email Mr. Moses Lim at moses@ntu.edu.sg immediately.   He or she should not use any other locker compartment in the meantime without the consent of Student Affairs Office.   All hirers are advised to keep their respective compartments locked at all times, regardless of whether they are actively using them or otherwise.
