STREAMING TO AREAS OF SPECIALISATIONS
|

1. |
All Business and Double Degree (Accountancy & Business) Year 1 students admitted in academic year 2011-2012 must indicate through StudentLINK, their six choices in order of preference of the areas of specialisations which they wish to pursue from the Second Year onwards.
The areas of specialisations are as follows:

Actuarial Science (ACS) |
Human Resource Consulting (HRC) |
|
|
|
Banking & Finance (BAF) |
Marketing (MKG) |
|
|
|
Information Technology (IT) |
Tourism & Hospitality Management (THM)
|
|

2. |
Allocation Process
|
|
|
(i) |
A fixed number of places is available for each area of specialisation and these are determined before the streaming exercise.
|
|
|
|
(ii) |
Allocation is based on the following:
- student's choice
- student's merit
- streaming criteria set for the respective business specialisations
- vacancies available in each specialisation
|
|
|
|
(iii) |
You will be considered first for the allocation of your first choice. If unsuccessful, you will be considered for your second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth choices, one at a time, in the order of your preference.
|

|
|
(iv) |
If you do not make your choices, you will be given a specialisation that still has places available after the streaming is completed.
|
|
|
3. |
Instructions on How to Indicate Choices
|
|
|
You are allowed to access StudentLINK in the NTU Computer Network from 24 Feb 2012 to 27 May 2012 to indicate your choices. All six choices in order of preference must be entered and no duplication of choice will be allowed. Please ensure that you have entered your choices correctly as all requests for amendment after the closing date will not be allowed.

Notification of Streaming & Class Timetable
|
|
|
The outcome of your streaming allocation will be released in the StudentLINK in the 1st Week of June 2012. You are required to register for the courses of the specialisation you are streamed to. Please refer to the Schedule of Registration Semester 1 of Academic Year 2012-2013 for which will be released in StudentLINK by 1st Week of May 2012 (tentative date) for the dates you are required to register your courses.
