For Undergraduate Students

Local Exchange Programme - NTU Students

Note:

1. You can only apply to either NUS or SMU (and not both). Students found with applications to both NUS and SMU will be randomly allocated to either University for consideration.

2. Students in their final semester of studies are not encouraged to participate in the student exchange programme, as late receipt of the official transcript from the host university might cause a delay in participants’ graduation.

3. You must have completed one semester of studies at the point of application and two semesters at the point of admission to NUS/SMU.

Application Procedure

1. Obtain information on the host university’s courses and examination timetable, if available. You may refer to the following web links for more information:

2. Ensure that the courses to read at NUS/SMU fit into your programme of study. Note that not all courses offered at NUS/SMU are made available to exchange students, and that enrollment in the courses are subjected to available vacancies, and approval by NUS/SMU. You should check with your School’s exchange coordinator to clarify any academic matter before applying.

3. Application for Semester 1, AY2012-13 will be opened from 26 March 2012 (Monday) to 3 April 2012 (Tuesday). All applications must be submitted through the On-line Application System by 5.00 pm, Tuesday, 3 April 2012. No late applications will be accepted. An acknowledgement email will be sent to you upon successful submission of your application.

4. All applications will be collated and submitted to the respective Schools for selection. Selected students will be given further instructions via email to proceed with course-matching, obtain approval from respective Schools, and complete the application process with NUS/SMU.

IMPORTANT: Only selected students will be informed of the outcome. Do NOT proceed to apply online via the NUS/SMU application systems until you receive the instructions to do so. Any students who apply online via the NUS/SMU application systems on his/her own accord will be rejected.
