A. Declare Intention to Pursue a Minor
To better plan the vacancies of the minor courses offered in each semester, NTU requires its students who intend to pursue a minor or are currently pursuing a minor to declare their intention online.
You may declare up to 2 minors. Only the minors that are open to the students are listed.
If you have completed your minor requirements, you need not declare your minor(s).
You are still required to file for the award of your minor(s) in your final semester even though you have declared your intention to pursue minor(s).
Please note that declaring your minor(s) does not imply that you will be guaranteed a place in the allocation of minor courses. Allocation is subjected to availability of places and priority criteria set by the Schools.
The award of minor will only be reflected in a graduate's transcript. No additional certificate will be issued upon completion of the minor.
The School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences would like students who are declaring their intention to take the minors offered by the School to also file an application with the School. You may obtain the application form from the School's General Office at SPMS-04-01 (next to South Spine). Students who do not submit the application will be deemed to be no longer interested in the minor.
You may amend your online submission throughout the declaration period. There is no penalty if you decide not to complete the minor. However, you are requested to update your decision online in the next declaration period.

B. File for the Award of Minors(s)
You can file for the award of minor(s) if you will be graduating and have fulfilled or will be fulfilling your minor requirements in your final semester.
You are to do so even if you have earlier declared your intention to pursue a minor.
The system allows only final year students who have fulfilled or will be fulfilling their minor requirements at the end of the semester to access the system and file for their minors.
You may file for up to 2 minors.
In determining students who have fulfilled or will be fulfilling their minor requirements, the system will refer to the minor criteria.
The award of minor will only be reflected in a graduate's transcript. No additional certificate will be issued upon completion of the minor.
