Bursaries by NTU, MOE, CDC/CCC, Private Individuals & Organisations

​​Who is eligible?

  • The NTU, MOE, Donated and CDC/CCC University Bursary is open to Singaporean students. Singapore PR and international students may be considered for bursaries offered by private individuals and organizations. The number of bursaries available to Singapore PR and International students is limited.
  • SPR/International students paying non-subsidised tuition fees are not eligible to apply. NIE trainee teachers who are either drawing salary/stipend from MOE or paying non-subsidised tuition fees are not eligible to apply.
  • Gross Monthly Household Per Capita Income (PCI) of less than or equal to $2,250 per month or Gross Monthly Household Income (GHI) of less than or equal to $9,000.
  • Students may concurrently hold:
      • NTU Bursary and CDC/CCC University Bursary
      • NTU/MOE/CDC/Donated Bursary with Mendaki Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy (MTTFS) 
      • NTU/MOE/CDC/Donated Bursary with awards meant to support overseas programmes    
  • Students may not concurrently hold:
      • MOE Bursary and CDC/CCC University Bursary
      • NTU Bursary and Donated Bursary
      • NTU/MOE/CDC/Donated Bursary and external bursary/scholarship/award except with the approval of the university
  • Submit just one bursary application online and we will automatically assess your eligibility for all the bursaries administered by NTU (i.e. NTU, MOE, Donated and CDC/CCC University Bursary). You may be offered any one or more of the NTU-administered bursaries. A bursary may be awarded depending on your financial situation and criteria set down by the University / Donor. 
  • Bursary is tenable for one academic year. A fresh application is required each academic year.

    • Bursary is tenable for one academic year. A fresh application is required each academic year. 


    Disbursement of Funds

  • For students who are using a combination of loans &/or subsidies to settle their MOE subsidised tuition fees, the disbursement sequence is as follows:
    1. Mendaki Tertiary Tuition fee Subsidy where applicable
    2. PSEA funds where applicable
    3. CPF funds under the CPF Education Scheme where applicable
    4. Tuition Fee Loan where applicable
    5. Study Loan where applicable
    6. NTU/MOE/Donated Bursary where applicable
    7. GIRO deduction from students' own account/other account (for those with a GIRO arrangement with NTU to pay their semestral tuition & compulsory miscellaneous fees)

The total disbursements shall not exceed the amount of tuition, compulsory miscellaneous and late fees payable.

  • Bursary funds will be released to you on a semester basis with half of the award value released in semester 1 and the remaining half released in semester 2 on condition that your student status is "Active" in the respective semesters (i.e. taking courses in NTU, on selected overseas programmes, not on Leave of Absence, have not graduated or have not withdrawn from NTU).
  • Bursary funds may be used to offset your tuition / compulsory miscellaneous fees that are still outstanding at the point of the bursary disbursement.

How to apply

    Existing students

    and

    New students who accepted a place in NTU prior to AY2019 and starting the school term in May 2019

    • Apply online through StudentLink during the application period. Only one bursary application is required to be submitted for each Academic Year. By putting in an application through StudentLink, we will automatically assess your eligibility for all the bursaries administered by NTU (i.e. NTU, MOE, Donated and CDC/CCC University Bursary). You may therefore be offered any one or more of the NTU-administered bursaries.
    • For NTU students, please login to StudentLink for application.
    • For NIE students, please login to NIE StudentLink for application.
    • Submit supporting documents in person or by post within 7 calender days upon your online application to One Stop@SAC, NS3-01-03 North Academic Complex, 50 Nanyang Avenue, Singapore 639798
    • A bursary may be awarded depending on your financial situation and criteria set down by the donors.
    • Outcome of your bursary application will be informed to you via your NTU Student Email Account. Successful applicants are required to accept the offer online before funds are released.
    New students who accepted a place in NTU prior to AY2019 and starting the school term in August 2019

    International Baccalaureate / NUS High School Diploma students applying for a programme in NTU in Year 2019 to start the school term in August 2019

    • In June, you will receive an email from Office of Admissions which contains a link for you to obtain your matriculation number. After you have obtained your matriculation number, the Bursary application link can be found in the 'Online Acceptance Form' under the section 'Financial Assistance Scheme'.
    • You are to submit the necessary supporting documents in person or by post within 7 calendar days of your online application.
    • Outcome of your Bursary application will be informed via your NTU Student Email Account. Successful applicants are required to accept the offer online.

    Singapore-Cambridge 'A' Level / Polytechnic Diploma students applying for a programme in NTU in Year 2019 to start the school term in August 2019

      • After you have submitted your admission application online, apply for a bursary during the bursary application period via the "Apply for Study Loan/Bursary" button found in your "Admission Application Status Menu".
      • Submit the required supporting document (Income and ID documents) within 2 weeks after you have accepted your admission offer.
      • Outcome of your Financial Assistance application will be informed to you via your NTU Student Email Account within 6 weeks after the receipt of all the required documents and after you have obtained your matriculation number.
      • Successful applicants are to accept the offer online.

      Students with international qualifications who are applying for a programme in NTU in Year 2019 to start the school term in August 2019

      • After you have obtained your matriculation number, the Bursary application link can be found in the 'Online Acceptance Form' under the section 'Financial Assistance Scheme'.
      • You are to submit the necessary supporting documents in person or by post within 7 calendar days of your online application.
      • Actual outcome of your Bursary application will be informed to you via your NTU Student Email Account upon the receipt of all the required documents. Successful applicants are to accept the offer online.
