Types of NTU-administered bursaries
- Higher Education Bursary (previously called the MOE Bursary)
- Higher Education Community Bursary (previously called the CDC/CCC Bursary)
- Donated Bursary offered by private individuals and organisations
- NTU Bursary
Who is eligible?
- All the above bursaries are open to Singaporean students pursuing full-time undergraduate degree course. Singapore PR and international students may be considered for bursaries offered by private individuals and organizations. The number of bursaries available to Singapore PR and International students is limited.
- SPR/International students paying non-subsidised tuition fees are not eligible to apply. NIE trainee teachers who are either drawing salary/stipend from MOE or paying non-subsidised tuition fees are not eligible to apply.
- Gross Monthly Household Per Capita Income (PCI) of less than or equal to $2,250 per month or Gross Monthly Household Income (GHI) of less than or equal to $9,000.
- Students may concurrently hold:
- Higher Education Community Bursary and NTU Bursary
- Higher Education/Higher Education Community/Donated/NTU Bursary with Mendaki Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy (MTTFS)
- Higher Education/Higher Education Community/Donated/NTU Bursary with awards meant to support overseas programmes
- Students may not concurrently hold:
- Higher Education Bursary and Higher Education Community Bursary
- Donated Bursary and NTU Bursary
- Any of our bursaries and an external bursary/scholarship/award except with the approval of the university
- Submit just one bursary application online and we will automatically assess your eligibility for all the bursaries administered by NTU.
- You may be offered any one or more of the NTU-administered bursaries. A bursary may be awarded depending on your financial situation and criteria set down by the University / Donor.
- Bursary is tenable for one academic year. A fresh application is required each academic year.

Disbursement of Funds

For
general undergraduate programme students
who are using a combination of loans &/or subsidies to settle their MOE subsidised tuition fees, the disbursement sequence is as follows:
- Mendaki Tertiary Tuition fee Subsidy where applicable
- PSEA funds where applicable
- CPF funds under the CPF Education Loan Scheme where applicable
- Tuition Fee Loan where applicable
- Study Loan where applicable

- GIRO deduction from students' own account/other account (for those with a GIRO arrangement with NTU to pay their semestral tuition & compulsory miscellaneous fees)

For
Medicine students
who are using a combination of loans &/or subsidies to settle their MOE subsidised tuition fees, the disbursement sequence is as follows:

- Bursary funds will be released to you on a semester basis with half of the award value released in semester 1 and the remaining half released in semester 2 on condition that your student status is "Active" in the respective semesters (i.e. taking courses in NTU, on selected overseas programmes, not on Leave of Absence, have not graduated or have not withdrawn from NTU).
- Bursary funds may be used to offset your tuition / compulsory miscellaneous fees that are still outstanding at the point of the bursary disbursement.

Existing students

New students who accepted a place in NTU prior to AY2021 and starting the school term in May 2021 - Apply online through
StudentLink during the application period. Only one bursary application is required to be submitted for each Academic Year. By putting in an application through StudentLink, we will automatically assess your eligibility for all the bursaries administered by NTU. You may therefore be offered any one or more of the NTU-administered bursaries.

New students who accepted a place in NTU prior to AY2021 and starting the school term in August 2021

International Baccalaureate / NUS High School Diploma students applying for a programme in NTU in Year 2021 to start the school term in August 2021 - In June, you will receive an email from Office of Admissions which contains a link for you to obtain your matriculation number. After you have obtained your matriculation number, the Bursary application link can be found in the 'Online Acceptance Form' under the section 'Financial Assistance Scheme'.
