A Convergence of Art and Science

Come and see a new interdisciplinary outdoor sculpture created by the NTU Community. Unveiled by Professor Subra Suresh, President of NTU, on 15 August 2019, Loop boasts a lively performance of 1,200 butterflies on an almost invisible möbius loop. It was especially designed for The Arc, NTU's latest Learning Hub.

An accompanying exhibition, A Convergence of Art and Science provides a glimpse of Loop's project development, starting from the conceptualisation, structural feasibility assessment, material selection,  testing in an outdoor environment, fabrication and construction, and finally, installation.

To celebrate this achievement, NTU Museum invites you to take part in our contest. Simply visit the exhibition at The Arc, Basement 1 foyer between 15 - 30 August 2019, answer five questions correctly, and stand a chance to win $20 Artfriend Vouchers*.
