The NTU Library develops and maintains extensive print and e-resources to support the research, teaching and learning activities of the University. The core collections encompass subjects in computer, electronic, materials, mechanical, aerospace, civil and environmental engineering, mass communication, business, banking and accounting, humanities, art and design and biological and life sciences.

The building of the library collection is guided by the Collection Development Policy.  This policy ensures that the Library's resources are aligned with the teaching and research strategies of the University.  The policy and in particular the subject profiles will be reviewed periodically to reflect changes in the University's strategic programmes and research activities.

The Library has extensive holdings of over 600,000 volumes in our print collections. The collections are mostly open access, except for the AV (Audio-Visual) and thesis materials. The e-resources collection include over 120 subscribed online and CD-ROM databases, 34,000 unique e-journals, 130,000 e-books, and over 30,000 NTU Publications comprising Exam Papers, theses, student projects, research reports, etc. in electronic format.
