Academic Requirements

Prospective students must:

1. EITHER

(1) possess a Bachelor's degree in good standing from an accredited university or college and must also satisfy the following language proficiency requirements:

a) a good pass in GCE 'A' Level General Paper and

b) a good pass in GCE 'O' Level CL1 or Higher Chinese, or equivalent;

OR

(2) possess such other qualifications and working experience as the Academic Board may approve;

2. satisfy minimum TOEFL or IELTS requirement for graduates of universities with non-English medium of instruction: 

TOEFL

A minimum score of 600 (paper-based) or 250 (computer-based) in TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) if English was not the medium of instruction at tertiary level.

IELTS

IELTS (International English Language Testing Service) overall score of 7.0 with a minimum of 7.0 in speaking and writing skill modules.

(Applicants who could not take TOEFL or IELTS in time will be required to take a written test and an oral test arranged by the School.  Applicants who pass the tests will be eligible to take the Screening Test.)

3. provide a Statement of Purpose;

4. be effectively proficient in both English and Chinese language.

Screening Test & Self-Introduction Video

Short listed applicants will be required to take a 2-hour written test, and also to provide a brief self-introduction video (VCD) in both English and Chinese language.

Timelines for Application and Admission

Admission takes place yearly. Application opens in January and ends in March. Screening test will be held in April. Classes start in August.
