HL7901 Graduate Seminar on Special Topic: Form and Content in Contemporary Narrative (Daniel Jernigan, Neil Murphy, Angela Frattarola, Bede Scott)
This seminar will consider the formal features of various modes of literature, and address the way in which formal techniques - and the structural choices various authors make – are essential to the thematic concerns of literary texts. It is most fundamentally concerned with various modes of narrative, and with how so much twentieth century literature (Fiction and Drama in particular) sought out unique representative relationships with Modern/Postmodern culture.
