Do the courses have to be taken in sequence?
Preferably. HE191 (or equivalent) should be completed before HE192. HE192 is a prerequisite for many Economics Electives. Furthermore, students who have taken HE192 will find themselves better prepared for the Economics Electives. Therefore it is recommended that students take HE191 followed by HE192, before taking their Economics Electives. However students may co-register HE192 with another Economics elective.

I am an Engineering student and I took HE191 as a prescribed elective. Do I have to replace HE191 with another Economics elective?
Yes. To qualify for the Minor, the University requires that ALL 5 courses be registered as an unrestricted (general) elective. You therefore have to replace HE191 with another HE elective.
