Curriculum 

The BA Hons in Economics is designed as a four-year course. To graduate, students are required to complete at least 145 academic units (AUs).

8 Economics core (compulsory) courses

a HE1xx courses are equivalent to 3 AUs while HE2xx, HE3xx, HE4xx courses are equivalent to 4 AUs.

1 Students who have obtained at least a B grade for GCE A-Level C or F Mathematics, or equivalent, may apply for exemption.

2 Sequence B is a prerequisite for all HE4xx level econometrics courses and HE321 and HE323.

3 HE410 is a core course for Econ YOA 2009 and thereafter.

Students may fulfill the remaining AUs from any School. This choice may include the second Major, one or two Minor(s), more Economics electives or Professional Attachment.
