International Exchange Programmes
Students will have the opportunity to enrich their undergraduate education by spending a semester or two abroad in one of more than 40 Universities around the world through NTU's international student exchange programme under INSTEP and the GIP. It includes universities in countries such as the US, UK, Europe, Japan, S.Korea, Hongkong, Thailand, Australia. Studying and living in a different culture is an invaluable experience that will make students better placed for working or studying abroad after they graduate.
Since 2006, our students can choose to participate as exchange students and earn academic units by taking a semester or half a semester courses at the University of Amsterdam. All the courses offered through their bachelor's programme in Economics are conducted in English. More information can be obtained by visiting their Bachelor's Program in Economics website and their exchange student programme. An MOU was also signed in November 2006 between the Division of Economics and the Faculty of Economics of Chulalongkorn University (Thailand's oldest and premier university) to facilitate the students of the two Economics faculties to attend a semester of study in the respective country. Students can also choose to spend a semester at the Department of Economics of either the University of Copenhagen in Denmark or the University of Berne in Switzerland. Yet another MOU will be signed with the University of Manchester in England in August 2007.
