Faculty Positions in Economics (at Associate Professor Level)

The Division of Economics at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, was established in 1993 as part of the Nanyang Business School. In 2003, it became a major division in the newly established School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS). The Division is host to the Economic Growth Centre and the Editorial Office of the Singapore Economic Review. It has 30 faculty members involved in theoretical and applied economics research. The Division emphasizes strongly on research and publications, especially in international journals. Faculty members have special interest in the economies of China, Singapore, ASEAN and other East Asian countries. In addition, faculty members have served as consultants to the Singapore government and to international organizations such as the United Nations, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Asian Development Bank. The Division offers undergraduate training leading to BA (Hons) in Economics and offers jointly with various Schools double major and double degree programs. The Division invites qualified academics to apply for faculty positions as Associate Professors. Salaries are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Successful applicants can expect generous support for research including grants for travel and conferences.

An applicant should have completed a PhD in Economics, an active research agenda, and a proven track record in research and teaching at university level. All fields will be considered but preference will be given to the following areas:

• Microeconomics
• Health Economics
• Urban and Transport Economics
• Environmental Economics
• Development Economics
• Macroeconomics
• Applied Econometrics
