
"The Post Crisis Environment: Key Challenges and Policy Proposals for Singapore's Economy"
Top 10 essays (Excluding top three prize winners) will be awarded a certificate of participation
The title for this year's essay competition is "The Post Crisis Environment: Key Challenges and Policy Proposals for Singapore's Economy". The aim is to encourage debate on the main economic issues facing Singapore once the crisis abates and to offer some policy suggestions for the issues identified.
The competition is open to all students studying in Singapore and all Singaporeans studying abroad. There are two categories of entries. The Pre-University Category admits submissions from Polytechnic, Centralised Institute, International School and Junior College Students, as well as from the full time National Servicemen (NSF). The Open Category admits submissions from students pursuing higher education, full time, including Bachelor's, Master's and PhD students. All entrants must comply with the Terms and Conditions of the competition. Entries must be in English and should be 2,000 words for both categories. A completed entry form and a 200-word summary must accompany all essays.
