Our University's wireless LAN network, NTU Wireless Network, practically transforms the University's grounds into one large virtual classroom where students and professors can frequently communicate, interact, and discuss learning problems almost anywhere and anytime. On this wireless network you can send/receive e-mails, do file transfers, access our e-services, online resources and materials on the Intranet or Internet, just like on the wired network.

This standard-based high-speed wireless network (capable of up to 54 megabits per second) enables campus users equipped with mobile devices such as notebooks and PDAs to have free access to all e-services from almost anywhere on the campus such as lecture theatres, academic complexes, canteens and libraries without the need of network cables. NTU Wireless Network however does not cover individual rooms at the Halls of Residence, Graduate Housing or Staff Quarters at this time.

EDUWIN
Project EDUWIN - Educational Wireless Network is a collaborative effort by Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) to have their wireless LAN hotspots linked up. This allows you to use the host's wireless LAN to access the Internet, e-Services, etc. with ease through VPN (Virtual Private Network) when you're visiting there .
