Mr LIM Chow-Kiat is Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of GIC. As Chief Executive Officer, Mr LIM holds the responsibility for the overall performance and capabilities of GIC. In particular, he drives and integrates the long-range investment and organizational vision and strategy. These include long-term asset allocation, active capital deployment, large investments, leadership development and strategic changes.

Mr LIM joined GIC in 1993 as a portfolio manager. He has held various leadership roles, including Group Chief Investment Officer, President of Public Markets, President of Europe and Director of Fixed Income Currency and Commodity.

Mr LIM is a member of the Singapore’s Committee on the Future Economy (CFE), a national committee set up by Singapore Government in 2016 to chart the future course of the Singapore economy. In addition, he serves in various non-profit organizations, including as a trustee of Nanyang Technological University (NTU, a public university in Singapore), Deputy Chairman of Wealth Management Institute (an industry education institution), member of Strategic Committee of Agence France Tresor (French government treasury agency), board member of Focusing Capital on the Long Term Global (a global advocacy group) and Vice Chairman of Chinese Calligraphy Society of Singapore (a cultural group). In January 2016, he was appointed as the Chairman of the Investment Advisory Committee for the Lee Kuan Yew Education Fund as well as the Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism.

In 2012, Mr LIM became the youngest inductee of the New York based Fixed Income Analysts Society Inc.(FIASI)’s Hall of Fame in recognition of his contributions to the advancement of fixed-income analysis and portfolio management. In 2013, he was given an alumni achievement award by his alma mater NTU. Mr. Lim graduated with first-class honors in accountancy from NTU in 1993, and has attended the Stanford Executive Program. He is a chartered financial analyst (CFA).
